Soybean Noodles


  • Sauce Ingredients:
    • 3 Tablespoons soybean paste
    • 3 Tablespoons soy suace
    • 1 1/2 Tablespoons brown sugar
    • 2 heaping Tablespoons honey
    • 3 Tablespoons mirin
    • 2 Tablespoons minced garlic
    • 1 1/2 Tablespoons sesame oil
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Ingredients:
    • 1 pound thinly sliced beef brisket
    • 2 servings somen
    • handful of minari, chopped
    • handful (about 8 stalks) of Chinese chives, chopped
    • sesame seeds for garnish

  • Recipe:
    • mix all the sauce ingredients together
    • cook the somen according to package directions
    • rinse the cooked somen in cold water and drain
    • mix with about 8 Tablespoons of the sauce
    • cook the brisket in a pan on high heat with the rest of the sauce
    • top the noodles with the chopped minari, chives, and the brisket
    • sprinkle on some sesame seeds and serve!
