
- Ingredients:
- 5 pounds chicken drumsticks
- 3 small potatoes, quartered
- 1 carrot, large chopped
- 4 ounces (half a pack) baby bella mushrooms, quartered
- 1 onion, large chopped
- 1 green chili pepper, chopped
- 1 red chili pepper, chopped
- 1 leek, large chopped
- 4 cups water
- Sauce Ingredients:
- 4 Tablespoons red pepper powder (gochugaru)
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon plum syrup
- 5 1/2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon tuna extract
- 2 Tablespoons mirin
- 2 Tablespoons minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 Tablespoon red pepper paste (gochugaru)
- Recipe:
- fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil
- add the drumsticks and boil for about 5 minutes to remove impurities
- drain and pot and rinse the chicken under running water to remove any bone pieces or excess blood inside
- put the chicken back in the pot with 4 cups of water and bring it to a boil
- mix all the sauce ingredients
- pour in the sauce, chopped potato, carrot, and mushroom into the pot
- mix it all together and cook for about 15-20 minutes
- mix in the onions and chili peppers and boil for another 10 minutes
- mix in the leeks and boil for the last 5 minutes
- ladle it into a bowl and serve hot with rice!
