
- Sauce Ingredients:
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons red pepper powder (gochugaru)
- 2 Tablespoons red pepper paste (gochujang)
- 1 Tablespoon plum syrup (or honey)
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Ingredients:
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- 600 grams pork (I mixed pork belly and jowl)
- white part of 1 leek, sliced
- 1 Tablespoon mirin
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1/4 carrot, quartered and sliced
- 1 cup kimchi (optional)
- Recipe:
- mix all the sauce ingredients together
- cut the pork into bite size pieces
- heat up sesame oil in a large pan on high heat
- add the pork, leek, and mirin
- sauté until the outside is starting to cook
- add the onion, carrot, and kimchi
- stir fry and cook until the pork is throughly cooked and the kimchi is soft
- mix in the sauce
- keep cooking until everything is well coated and the sauce is cooked through – about 3-5 minutes
